Handcrafted in Lund, Sweden

Light from other worlds, cast by hand.

We build resin lamps in small batches here in Lund. Each one glows with living light that you control from your phone, and each one is poured, wired and tested by hand.

Our story

A small lab with an old flame.

“I felt the flame that Prometheus left for us, and that light became IgnisLab.”

Ignis is Latin for fire. It is the oldest light we know, and the one every lamp since has tried to keep.

IgnisLab is an independent lighting studio in Lund, Sweden. We cast lamp bodies in layered pours of pigmented resin, then build the electronics that bring them to life. Each lamp carries a small, programmable atmosphere of its own.

We are not a factory. Every lamp is poured, assembled and tested by hand, which means every lamp turns out slightly, stubbornly its own.

The lamps

Atmospheres you can hold.

Each lamp recreates the light of another world on your table. Its sunrise, its clouds, its color, all in hand-cast resin.

Hidden Fire

An ember for your nightstand. Hidden Fire glows through hand-cast layers of resin, drifting from deep indigo to warm amber the way light moves inside a dying fire. You control its atmosphere from any phone, with nothing to install.

The name is the whole idea: a real flame's warmth, caught in resin and kept just out of sight.

In the workshop

Cosmolux series

Sunrises from across the solar system: Mars, Titan, Europa, Neptune, Uranus. Every lamp gets a palette drawn from real atmospheric data, and a day that can follow its planet’s own rotation.

In development now. The first world will be announced here.

The experience

Quiet technology, warm light.

Nothing to install

Each lamp hosts its own control page on your home Wi-Fi. Open it in any browser, on any phone.

Nine moods of light

From a quiet candle flicker to Cozy, Breathe, and a party mode that listens to the room.

Light that moves

A whisper-quiet motor slowly turns the optics inside, so patterns of light drift across your walls.

On your schedule

Set on and off times. The lamp wakes with you and tucks itself in at night.

It grows with you

Free firmware updates add features and refinements, installed straight from the lamp’s own page. See how updates work.

One of one

Hand-poured pigment layers mean no two lamps ever come out alike.

The craft

Poured, wired, and tested by hand.

Every IgnisLab lamp starts as liquid resin, tinted and poured in layers so the light lands differently at every depth. Once the body has cured, the electronics go in: the light engine, the sensors, and the small brain that runs it all. Every finished lamp burns in on the workbench before it leaves.

It is a slow way to make a lamp. It is also the only way to make this one.
