Your data, in plain words.
We are a small studio. We only collect what we need to answer you, and we never sell it or use it for advertising.

Who we are
IgnisLab is a small business (a sole trader) in Lund, Sweden. We are responsible for the data described here. Contact: hello@ignislab.eu.
What we collect, and why
- The waitlist and the “keep me posted” forms. Your email address, and the answers you choose to give: the city you want, whether you would buy one and what price feels right. We also see which page and language you used, and the link that brought you (for example our Instagram link), so we know which posts work. We use this to write to you when what you asked about is ready, and to decide what to make first. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- The lamp designer. Your name, email and message, your design (its settings, a picture of it, and any picture you upload) and the delivery option you pick. We use this to check your design and send you a price. Legal basis: steps you asked for before a possible purchase. If you order, the order details become part of our accounts, which Swedish law requires us to keep for 7 years.
- Emails you send us. What you write, so we can answer you.
Who else handles it
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and receives what you send through its forms (in the USA).
- Google hosts our inbox at hello@ignislab.eu, where your form arrives and where we answer from.
Both work on our behalf under their data processing terms, which cover transfers outside the EU. We don’t share your data with anyone else, and we use no advertising or analytics services.
The film on our pages comes from YouTube. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play; from then on, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist: until we have sent the email you asked for, then at most 3 more months, or until you ask us to remove it.
- Design requests that don’t become an order: 12 months.
- Orders: 7 years, as Swedish bookkeeping law requires.
Cookies and your device
We use no cookies, analytics or ad trackers. If you switch between English and Swedish, your browser remembers that choice on your device. If you arrive through one of our links, its label (for example “instagram”) travels in the page address, and is sent to us only if you sign up.
Our products
The first Igniculus edition has no Wi-Fi and sends nothing anywhere. Komorebi, planned for 2027, will use your home Wi-Fi to get the time and the city’s weather straight from public services. Those services will see your home’s internet address and the city’s location, nothing about you, and IgnisLab receives nothing. We will describe it in full before it ships.
YouTube uploads
We publish our own videos on our YouTube channel. We upload them with an internal tool of ours that uses the YouTube API Services. It runs only on our studio computer and works only with our own channel.
- What it uses: our own Google sign-in, to upload our videos with their title, description, tags, thumbnail and playlist. It collects no data about visitors, viewers or anyone else.
- What it stores: the IDs of the videos we upload and the sign-in it needs, on our studio computer only. We share neither with anyone.
- Revoking and deleting: the tool’s access can be revoked at any time in Google’s security settings. When we stop using the tool, we revoke its access and delete everything it stored.
By watching our videos on YouTube, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. YouTube’s use of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. Our own terms are on Terms of use.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we have about you, correct it, have it deleted or get a copy of it. You can withdraw your consent and leave the waitlist at any time. Write to hello@ignislab.eu and we answer within a month.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) at imy.se.
